Our Puppy Program

At Windygates Canines, we strive to produce healthy, happy pups that are confident, outgoing, and personable. Our puppy program ensures each puppy is started off in the right direction before going to their new homes!

The puppy program includes from day 1 to 8 weeks old:
- Each puppy is handled daily from day 1, including handling feet/ears/mouth
- Puppies are provided stimulation from noise (both loud and quiet), different textures and environments from early on
- Puppies will be bathed as needed, regular nail trims, and dewormed 3x
- Puppies get to go on puppy pack walks to explore new areas (age appropriate)
- Pups are started on going potty outside using a doggy door
- Pups will go on at least 1 car ride
- Puppies are started on crate training and alone time (age appropriate)
- Each puppy will receive optimal veterinary care including a vet check, first set of vaccinations, and a microchip

We work towards ensuring each puppy gets paired with the right home by providing regular updates with pictures and videos. We also analyze each puppy in terms of their conformation, energy, and mindset, and try to do our best to pair the right homes with the right puppies.
